Cheryl Pitts is the founder, and Executive Director of Non Profit Assistants, Inc. Ms. Pitts has 25 years of senior management experience, thirteen years’ experience in the business side of the medical profession. She has owned and operated several small businesses.
Since starting Non Profit Assistants, she has designed and conducted several programs and workshops to help nonprofit leaders to become more effective in their organizations. Those include: The 501 C 3 Workshop and the Nonprofit Roundtable and the Nonprofit Bootcamp which have served nonprofits across the country. Another program that is currently operating is The Women of Hope Microenterprise and Technology Initiative a program designed specifically for women to help them start and run a small business. That program has grown into the SC Microenterprise Outreach, Small Business Clinic and Small Business Bootcamp, which starting in 2017 will assist existing and startup small businesses throughout the state of South Carolina.
Additionally, she has obtained a life insurance license and will soon add a securities license under Primerica in order to provide education and sales of life insurance and provide vehicles for people, particularly small business owners, to invest or save money for retirement.
She has served on the Boards of Directors of several nonprofit organizations in North and South Carolina, and Michigan. She is the current President of Southeastern Professional School of the Arts, an organization that provides professional training for young ballet dancers who are in underserved communities and schools.
She is proficient in program development, business planning, strategic planning, establishing and maintaining effective relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders and much more. Ms. Pitts is sought to conduct training in grant writing, board development, nonprofit education and small business development.
Ms. Pitts received education at the State University College of New York at Buffalo, in Buffalo, New York, and Gwinnett College, in Lilburn, Georgia. She graduated cum laude from the Medical Assisting Program and held a National Certification in Medical Assisting, a Certification in Medical Transcription.
